The 2009 Bonsai Society of Acadiana Christmas Social will be held this Saturday, December 5th at 6pm at the home of Boyd and Mary Kay Snellgrove. Food and drink will be provided. Hopefully, we can get a few volunteers to bring desserts. When you RSVP, let me know if you will be bringing a dessert. For anyone interested, we will be doing a gift swap/steal in the $20 range.
Directions to 414 Terrell Court:
Coming in on Hwy 90 from Lafayette, take the Lewis St. exit in New Iberia. Turn Left and go under Hwy 90. Stay on Lewis St. until it ends (cross the RR tracks, the Bayou Teche bridge, and pass up Dauterive Hosp. and North Lewis Elem. school). Take a Right onto Loreauville Rd at the "T". The 5th street on the right will be Terrell Court. Take a Right and go down almost to the end. I am the 7th house from the end on the left side.

Discussion about Christmas Party--An offer was made by Boyd Snellgrove to host the Christmas Party at his home on December 5, 2009. It was also mentioned that if your choose to participate in the gift exchange the cost would be $20. More information regarding the party to be given at a later date.
Dues for Bonsai Society of Acadiana are due January 2010.
The floor was opened for discussion of trees brought by members.

There was also a discussion about types of fertilizers that members found useful. Some types mentioned were Organic, Fish emulsion, Bonsai Pro, and HB101.
