June 2011 meeting

Johnny opened the meeting talking about his trip to a workshop at Brussels. He spoke about how interesting the workshops were and the talented presenters.

Johnny also presented a forest grouping, and spoke about how you can either plant all the same type of trees or mix different types as long as they have the same requirements, such as light and water. He also said that it is recommended to plant odd number of trees and to have a focal tree.

May 2011 Meeting

Boyd opened meeting mentioning the Daylily Festival that will be held on June 4 from 8:30 until 3:00. He also talked about Ball Cypress and the way of styling in either Immature (christmas tree shape) or Mature (flat top) Recommended fertilizer was mentioned Nutracoat/dynomite.
